Changes to prior permission categories:

Services over £1.50 per minute

Services over £1 per minute where the total cost of the call exceed £25.54 (excl VAT)
This Notice applies to those operating premium rate services (PRS) that are over £1.50 per minute and/or services over £1 per minute where the total cost of the call can exceed £25.54 (excl VAT).
Background
Prior permission is required for
identified categories of premium rate services
which pose a greater risk of harm to users because of their content/cost. These types of services can only be operated if PhonepayPlus has provided written prior permission.
On 4th January 2011, the VAT rate increased from 17.5% to 20%.
Changes to prior permission categories
The prior permission categories listed above are now VAT exclusive and have been changed to:

Services over £1.28 + VAT per minute

Services over 85 pence + VAT per minute where the total cost of the call can exceed £25.54

*Calls provided by BT will be charged at up to 5p per minute. Mobile and other providers' charges may vary and are likely to cost more.
