Prohibition on named persons
The prohibition sanctions in the Code of Practice enable PhonepayPlus, in cases where serious breaches have taken place, to formally name an individual and prohibit him or her in a personal capacity from involvement in, or contracting for the provision of any, or any category of, premium rate services for a defined period.
The following persons are currently ‘named' and barred following PhonepayPlus' decision to impose a prohibition sanction.
Network operators and service providers are reminded that they must not contract to provide services to prohibited persons, or engage or permit the involvement of prohibited persons in the provision of phone-paid services. PhonepayPlus urges all relevant parties to remain vigilant to ensure that prohibited persons do not start up or become involved in phone-paid services while they are subject to a prohibition.
