Guidelines for handling complaints and cases
The information provided in each link above under each topic includes (or will in due course include) details of the following:
-
a brief description of the information,
-
how the information will be made available,
-
details of any charges for information.
DELIVERY OF INFORMATION UNDER THE SCHEME
Information in our Scheme that you request to be sent to you by email or post will be sent within 20 working days of receipt of your request. If this is not possible for any reason we will contact you within this time period to let you know why. If there are any charges due, details of this will be provided within the relevant scheme information pages/documents, and these will need to be paid in advance. If you request further hard copies we may charge you for photocopying and postage. You will be advised of this on receipt of the request.
We will publish all documents under the Scheme in English. Publications in large print are available on request.
INFORMATION NOT INCLUDED IN OUR PUBLICATION SCHEME
PhonepayPlus is not currently subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“the Act”), and while members of the public have the right to make a specific request for information about the public bodies covered by the Act, this does not apply to PhonepayPlus. However, if you are seeking information of a non-confidential nature about our regulatory activities, and the provision of such information does not generate a significant cost or resource output, then we will make this information available in response to any written request.
We will notify you within 10 working days of your request as to whether we agree to make the information sought available to you. If we object, we will provide reasons for our objection. If we agree, we shall provide you with the information requested within a further period of 20 days.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
All intellectual property and related material accessed through this Scheme is owned by PhonepayPlus or licensed to us. The provision of documents via this Scheme does not give the person or organisation who receives them an automatic right to re-use the documents in a way that would infringe copyright, for example, by making multiple copies, publishing and issuing copies to the public.
Permission to reproduce material does not extend to any material accessed through the Scheme which is owned by third parties. You must obtain authorisation from the third parties concerned to reproduce such material.
CHANGES TO OUR SCHEME
We will update our Scheme periodically and we are committed to reviewing the content of its Scheme each year.
FEEDBACK
We welcome feedback on our Scheme; comments will be considered and taken into account when reviewing and developing the Scheme. In addition, we will use requests we receive to shape future Schemes. Please provide any comments and feedback to:
