All you need to know to get started
If you've just started looking in to setting up a premium rate or phone paid service for your customers, here are a few starters:
As a service provider you will contract directly with the telephone company carrying the service. You'll be responsible for ensuring that the content promotion and operation of your services comply with our Code of Practice, the rulebook governing these services.
- First register as a service provider. Click here to go to the on-line form.
- Make sure you've read our PhonepayPlus Code of Practice and help notes. They outline the responsibilities you have as a service provider.
- Find out whether you need to get permission from us to run your service. This tends to be necessary where you or your customers face additional risks associated with your service; a service or game that involves gambling is a good example.
