PhonepayPlus issues invitation to tender for Registration System

PhonepayPlus, the regulator of premium rate telephone services (PRS), today issued an invitation to tender to build a Registration System. This follows a recent consultation in which a majority of respondents agreed that PhonepayPlus should go ahead with the implementation of a Registration Scheme while it consults more broadly on how registration will support its proposed new Code of Practice.

PhonepayPlus announces Complaint Resolution team

PhonepayPlus today announced the creation of a new Complaint Resolution team, led by Jodie Isaac, an experienced PhonepayPlus Executive. This new team will work in collaboration with premium rate service providers to tackle minor instances of non-compliance and help increase the overall level of compliance in the industry.

Parcel delivery number switched off

PhonepayPlus, the phone-paid services regulator, has requested that the premium rate number 09066641142 be switched off, following two complaints from members of the public that live in the West Yorkshire area.
