The associated individual provisions in the Code of Practice enable icstis, in cases where serious breaches have taken place, to formally name an individual and bar him or her in a personal capacity from running or being associated with a company which operates premium rate services for a defined period.Two individuals are currently 'named' and barred under icstis' associated individual provisions.

Service providers are reminded that they are prohibited from 'knowingly engaging' or 'permitting the involvement' of associated individuals. icstis would also urge network operators to remain vigilant to ensure that the above individuals do not attempt to start up services while barred.
